September 2014: Holiday in Germany

Saturday 3:45 we drove to Aying for our holiday in the neighborhood of Munich. The drive went well. We stopped some times and put Florian on a plaid to play. Underway we saw about five cars at the side of the highway. One car had a bad accident. About a hundred kilometer before we arrived, we had some traffic jam, so we escaped from the highway and drove through the countryside.
Sunday we stayed at the holiday home and made a short walk with Florian. In the neighborhood where horses, chickens and dogs, so there was enough for Florian to see.
Monday I went shopping in Neu Perlach and Erik stayed at home with Florian. It was really nice to have some shopping time in a neighborhood I knew!
Tuesday we drove to Schliersee and had lunch in one of our favorite restaurants in the village. Florian as well and enjoyed looking to all people who were sitting there and who came by our table.
Wednesday we went to a small animal park in the neighborhood from Aying, to have a short walk with Florian.
Thursday we drove to Tegernsee and made a walk with Florian, which we made quite often with family and friends. It was nice to walk this route again and see the Tegernsee from the mountain. Later on we had lunch at the Brauhaus.
Friday we made a walk with Florian from our holiday home.
Saturday we drove to our next holiday home in Stumm in the Zillertal in Austria. We rented an apartment with balcony and a swimming pool and sauna in the basement (to share with a few other apartments). We had lunch in hotel Seetal and then went to the apartment. Furthermore we did some grocery shopping and had a coffee at a bakery so we could get an internet connecton.
Sunday we enjoyed the weather at our balcony and got some tan. Furthermore I checked out the swimming pool in the basement.
Monday we enjoyed the weather again on our balcony and later in the afternoon we went swimming with Florian, which he really liked.
Tuesday we went for a walk through the village and had coffee in one of the restaurants. It started to poor rain, so we stayed for a while and had lunch. Florian was really hungry and ate a lot. Then the weather cleared and we went for another walk (in the sun). Florian fell asleep
immediately. Then we walked home and put him into his bed. Then Erik stayed with him and I went swimming and to the sauna in our basement.
Wednesday we made another walk and came by a playground. Florian rocked on the swing for the first time and he liked it a lot! Later on he went down the slide.
Friday it was raining so we decided to have lunch in one of the restaurants in Stumm. We were a bit early so we first had coffee and enjoyed having an internet connection, which we did not have in our apartment. The waitress really liked Florian and kept him busy for 15 minutes while we were eating. To our surprise Florian did not have a problem with it.
Saturday we moved back from the Zillertal in Austria to Aying in Germany. For lunch we went to our favorite restaurant in Sauerlach. There I had my favorite dish: Schwaben Pfandl! This is a pan with Kaesespaetzle, pork with champignon sauce and vegetables. Very heavy but delicious! In the afternoon I got a lot of groceries, because on Sunday we would give a grill party! Florian also started today to crawl through the living room after some balloons!
Sunday we gave a grill party for our friends from Munich. Our friends also brought us some salads, beer, etc. We were lucky to use the small wooden cottage and grill of our landlord. In the cottage was also a fireplace, so we could warm up a bit, with the wet weather. It was very nice to see all our friends again, just like we never moved! Florian made some nice conversation with some of them. It did not make a difference which language it was, he could understand them all!
Monday we made a ride through Munich, because it was raining. Florian also learned to give a high five and clapping his hands!
Tuesday we went visiting at my work in Munich and I talked to a lot of colleagues. It really was fun to see everyone again! On our way back we went again to our favorite restaurant in Sauerlach. In the afternoon we enjoyed the sun in the garden.
Wednesday we visited a friend of us in Munich and had a nice chit chat!
Thursday we drove to Schliersee, where we married (already) five years ago. We made a walk around the lake and this was the first time, we did this in the summer. It all looked very nice. During our walk we had lunch at a restaurant, where we went sometime before. In the evening we had dinner with our formerly neighbors in the Biergarten in Aying. Their daughter who studies in the UK was also there on a visit. It was nice to see them again!
Saturday 4:00 we drove back to the Netherlands without any problem.
Sunday we went to the birthday of the oldest daughter (2 years) of one of the mommies. The living room was full of people. Florian was sitting on the floor and played very relaxed, like no one else was there in the room!
Monday morning Florian crawled for the first time through his tunnel. In the afternoon Erik’s parents came to visit and stayed for dinner.
Tuesday Florian and I went to a children’s farm here in The Hague with one of the other mommies. We first visited the animals and then our children played on the playground and on our rug. The oldest child made herself completely full of sand and water, like always!
Thursday I went to the gym or the first time in a real long time! Florian went with me off course, so he had his first time at a daycare (at the gym) for a couple of hours. Surprisingly he did not have a problem with it. He acted as everything as completely normal, that he stayed there. So for me that was really nice! I made a fitness test (really bad) and then got instructions for my training program for the next two weeks.
Friday I wanted to go to the gym again, but I had a really heavy muscle pain! So Florian and I went to do the groceries and made a calm day. At the end of the afternoon Florian went from laying to sitting for the first time himself! He is developing himself so quickly now!
Saturday was daddy day! So I went cycling with a friend of mine in the dunes. On our way we had some coffee and chatted a lot. In the afternoon I went to the hairdressers.
Sunday was the yearly family day of my father’s family. This year my father organized it. We gathered with around 40 uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. Some cousins I had not seen in almost 10 years! We drank some coffee, chatted and had lunch. In the afternoon we all went on a boat trip for 1,5 hour on my brother boat. Then we had some drinks and played some games. The day ended with dinner and then we all went home again.
Monday morning I went to the fitness again and Florian went to the daycare. Florian was still a bit tired of yesterday and just wanted his mommy….so I only bicycled 5 minutes and the rest of the time I was with Florian. In the afternoon we went to the pediatrician for a periodical checkup of Florian. He now weights 10 kg and is 76 cm. Everything is going well with him.
Tuesday I decided to try it again. So Florian and I went again to the gym. This time everything went well, but in the afternoon he is clearly more tired than normal.
Wednesday Florian and I brought the car to the garage for a change of tires and required general car inspection. In the afternoon we could already pick him up.
Thursday Florian and I went to the local market and on our way back Florian rocked again at the playground near the children’s farm.
Saturday I visited my sister and we went to a farm to pick some apples. We took her youngest son and daughter and the boy next door with us.
